Remind me again

Why I can't have a cocktail in the car? My baby hates traveling. Luckily our families live 4 hours away...

Is that the puppy dog outfit? I'm ignoring that pitiful face because it's too sad. :(

I pondered this same question today as Becca wailed, bawled, screamed with her $1,000,000 lungs, for 25 minutes straight, "MY FACI! MY FACI! MYYYYYY FFFFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

Of course, I had no such "faci" (=paci) anywhere in the car. I even pulled over to search for one.

Coming home from Easter, BG cried/whined/screamed the entire 4 hours. I wanted to jump for real. Hubs is all "just ignore her" but how is that possible?!?

They really should allow open containers in such situations...

Portable DVD player. They make contraptions to hook it on the back of the head rest. It is a saving grace on car trips.

@Court it IS the puppy dog outfit. Adorbs.

@Nancy--you would NOT BELIEVE my backseat dancing moves.

@P.I. My husband is able to continue a phone convo THROUGH the screaming. Which annoys me further.

@Lauren we have one, but we need to get a plug for it. It only lasted 45 mins last time!

This was my first child. Never EVER EVER slept in the car. Stopped screaming around age 1. our second does not make a peep in the car and even falls asleep. We want to pinch ourselves, we get so excited. You will have a child that sleeps in the car someday-promise!

So someday my "drinking problem" will go away? Fingers crossed. I'm holding you to that, Heidi!
